Champions Residents,
In 2015, recognizing the need to ensure long-term reliability and enhance service quality, the Champions MUD Board established a comprehensive 20-year vision. As we reach the halfway mark in 2025, the Board remains committed to the original goals and is proud to share an update on the substantial progress made.
Strengthening Infrastructure Resilience
Following the extreme weather events experienced in 2024, including the May Derecho and July Hurricane Beryl, the District’s investment in infrastructure resilience proved crucial. Despite widespread power outages, our backup generators at critical facilities ensured uninterrupted water and sewer services. This proactive approach shows our commitment to maintaining service during challenging conditions.
Enhancing Water Supply Reliability
In 2024 the District made a major upgrade to our water source: Connecting our water treatment plant directly to the water source, providing cleaner and more reliable water for Champions MUD. Working directly with the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA) also provides our District with greater control over our water quality and supply.
Infrastructure Improvements and Maintenance
The District successfully completed the replacement of aging water lines, valves, and fire hydrants throughout several subdivisions, as well as along Champions Forest Drive. We appreciate the community’s cooperation during these essential infrastructure upgrades.
Smart Water Meter Program and Emergency Alerts
We encourage residents to utilize our Smart Water Meter Program to monitor water usage and receive leak alerts. Additionally, please sign up for our Emergency Alert System to receive timely notifications regarding critical information.

Point Clear dr still accumulates water on the east side of the street all the way to the middle, as it gets closer to Champions Dr it flows perfectly fine. With heavy downpours the water stalls halfway down the street causing my front and back yard to flood. I installed French drains in the backyard, but unfortunately they cannot do their job since the street drains are not flowing.
